About Us

Our Story

We are NUS psychology graduates with a shared passion for child development and education. Through our experiences in teaching and developmental psychology, we’ve seen firsthand how academic competency is the primary focus in MOE schools, while developmental needs—such as emotional resilience, social adaptability, and cognitive flexibility—often take a backseat.

This gap inspired us to create The Developmental Lab—a space where we prioritize the holistic development of children. Our programs integrate scientific, research-backed approaches to build emotional intelligence, social confidence, and cognitive growth, ensuring that children develop into well-rounded individuals prepared for life’s challenges.

We aim to make developmental psychology practical and accessible by bridging scientific research with everyday parenting, equipping parents with science-backed, actionable tools to support their child’s cognitive, emotional, and social development.

Our Mission

Our Vision

To create a future where developmental psychology is an integral part of parenting, fostering a generation of confident, resilient, and well-rounded children.

Our Values

At The Developmental Lab (TDL), our commitment to bridging developmental psychology and parenting is guided by three core values—T, D, and L, representing the foundation of our approach.

T – Translating Science into Practice

Bridging developmental psychology with real-world parenting, ensuring research-backed insights are accessible and actionable for families.

D – Development-Centered Learning

We believe in holistic development, ensuring children build emotional, social, and cognitive skills alongside academic knowledge.

L – Learning That Lasts

Our approach equips parents and children with lifelong skills, fostering resilience, confidence, and adaptability in an ever-changing world.
